April Ross
April Ross is only one of the beach volleyball players who have earned medals multiple times at an Olympics. Alix-Klineman will be competing with Ross at Tokyo for her third gold medal over the next couple of days. Ross wants to achieve more than her first Olympic medal. This may be the last time she has the chance to do so at the age of 39. However, she's convinced that top prizes can be achieved. Ross was born the 22, 1982, in Costa Mesa California. She resided in the area together with her parents. Ross was a competitive athlete in a variety of sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. Being a pre-athlete, she also played indoor volleyball and track. While she did well in indoor volleyball but it was apparent that her performance was above average. According to her bio, she was a middle blocker and outside hitting volleyball player during her senior year at high school. The results of her efforts were acknowledged in 1999 when she was named Gatorade's National Circle of Champions Players of the Year. Also, in 2000 she was awarded the Orange County Athlete of the year for volleyball. Ross Klineman and Ross may be working on a project in the year 2017, however Ross was already an established athlete at the beach prior to when they came together. She actually won numerous major events in the past with two different partners. among them a volleyball icon. From 2007 to 2013 she was in a partnership with Jennifer Kessy, who is now her coach. Kessy and Ross were strong on the international circuit, winning the 2009 World Championship as a team. In the 2012 Olympic Games, they won the gold medal. Misty Maytreanor's legendary team and Kerri Jennings took home the gold. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate as Maytreanor resigned. They both went on to take home the bronze medal in beach volleyball in the Rio Olympics in 2016 along with Walsh Jennings. Ross was a Trojans player for the USC in her college years before becoming a professional. Ross's Trojans experience was remarkable. She was an All-American and Pac-10 freshman of the year in 2000 as a young freshman. Her Trojans made it to the Final Four. Her personal life was tense after a devastating defeat in her sophomore year however, she was able to achieve the All-American award. In her last two seasons in the Trojans team, she led them to success by winning two the national title in consecutive years. She was a great volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the most outstanding female volleyball player at the college level. Ross was a student of International Relations at USC. Margie Ross did not get to see her daughter's climb to the beach volleyball spotlight. Ross suffered the loss of her mom to cancer of the breast in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. She is devoted to her mother who died.
