Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz professionally known by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her after her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father and Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's dad came from an ethnically Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. The actress is also half-sister to Sunyata Jubal. Her younger sister is Uria. Ryder's family relocated to Mendocino County, California, when she was just seven. In those days, there was no electricity. Ryder who read a lot when she was 12 became a book worm since Ryder did not have access to television. Ryder started to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre when she turned 12 years old. At the age of 15, Ryder landed her first acting job on the screen in Lucas. Ryder experienced bullying at her high school. Her hope was that the acting profession would change that. However, it didn't take place. It didn't stop her from pursuing dreams. Her breakthrough came with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder played successful roles for several films. In 1993, he was nominated two times for Academy Awards.
